Last week I mentioned that we were looking at buying concert tickets to go see Roger Waters. I admit that I would absolutely love to go, but the new addition being built has became a huge money hole. I am thinking about renting the move, , just so I can laugh at someone else spending all of their money on a house for a while.
As much as I would like to build a brand new house, this addition has taught me a valuable lesson. That lesson is to not build a house by myself. I guess that the worst parts would be hired out. The roofing and the sheetrock have got to be the worst parts. That must be why people can charge so much to do it… no one else wants to!
Anyone who knows me personally knows that I am a huge Pink Floyd fan. I have been searching for concert tickets to one of the Roger Waters shows in July. I finally found some by searching for a new york ticket broker. $535 for two tickets would put the wife and I up close and personal (two rows back) to Roger Waters when he is Hartford, CT.
…..but, that is $535 that I should probably spend on something that we really need. On the other hand….we really need a vacation!
Prince, playing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Tom Petty and Jeff Lynn. They are playing “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” before the induction of George Harrison.
Prince is without a doubt one of the greatest guitar players of all time. Unfortunately for him, I don’t think most people even realize that he plays.
