But I don’t really care. Feel free to carry this over to your own blog if you would like, or carry on in the comments.
I remember watching heehaw on Saturday nights.
I remember going outside to play on Saturday mornings in the summer and only coming back inside for lunch and dinner
I remember lightning bugs at my Grandmothers, and jars full of them.
I remember when gas was $0.94 per gallon.
I remember sour cream and onion Doritos and Clear Pepsi.
I remember working under a shade tree on a car steering rack all day with my dad, and loving it.
I remember getting our very first Atari and rubbing blisters between my thumb and first finger from the joystick playing pac man and pitfall.
I remember my Dad being super proud of himself one x-mas cause he won a cabbage patch doll. Nobody had these things, and I didn’t want one.
I remember my favorite show as a kid being Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.
I remember when, if you weren’t home, you were unreachable by telephone, and there was no way to know who had called while you were out.
I remember when dangerous kids were the ones who might hit you with their fists….
I remember when my Dad bought my Mom a VCR for Christmas and how excited she was.
I remember when MTV actually played music.
Your turn, have at it.
Don’t forget the telephone cords that could go halfway down the street!! I used to talk and wind myself up….and then back out… and then back up in it.

Oh yes, I remember those also. My mother would buy the longest one she could find, and she would still manage to stretch it far enough to pull the phone out of the wall.
Aaaaand, don’t forget rotary-dial phones, Commodore 64 computers (awesome 12th birthday present!), those strips of flash cubes you would plug into your point-and-shoot camera and were only good for one use per flash, and lastly “leaded” gasoline. Ah, yes. Memories. 🙂

I remember having to use a pay phone if you needed to make a call while you were out.
I remember thinking Super Mario Brothers was the coolest video game that would ever be written.
I remember when having a CD player was a big deal.
I remember not having cable. Then we got it, then we moved and didn’t have it again, then we got it at the new house. Wow!
I don’t remember much of anything interesting…I’m too young. Uh, Pogs, I guess. What was the point of Pogs, again? I was never clear on that, although I did own a bunch that I never did anything with.
