Let me rephrase that. Is it illegal to answer your own door naked? Not that I plan on doing it. Well, I mean, I might do it. If the right people come knocking. Occasionally, when I peek out the curtains and see a couple of Jehovah’s witness knocking on my door, I know that I would have a great time surprising them in my birthday suit. And honestly, I wouldn’t mind it at all if some people answered their door naked for me.
I’m just sayin’.
it’s your right, but i don’t know if it’s legal or not. Maybe if you’re half naked, it’s leGal.
Out here it’s LEGAL to be completely naked in public. Not kidding. Totally nude people walking down main street and everything. Our government in vermont is an example of what Pot can really do to a place…. yeesh. 😉

im moving to vermont
Kyra – I knew I loved Vermont. I have wanted to move there my whole life. It’s my destiny.
I have heard of women getting arrested for topless lawn-mowing, so I’d bet it’s illegal. Don’t know how likely they’d be to press charges, though.
Well…as long as you are in your own house, you are not in a public place, you are home. Home is private, as long as you are not doing or insinuating anything explicit or obscene…This is true for where I live…
We even have a law that says women can go around topless any place a man can. Like at the beach, gym, pool…No one takes advantage of this oppertunity mind you.
It depends on your melanin level. If you are pale enough to cause a glare then you must provide protective eyeware.

My guess is that there is no one answer for every jurisdiction and that whether or not such a thing is legal depends largely upon local statutes. However, just because something is legal doesn’t make it moral or the right thing to do. I don’t know why anybody would even want to do such a thing, considering the possibilities. For example, if you have any money at all, even if something is legal, you could be opening yourself up to a lawsuit. Or, suppose underage kids knock at the door, you not only compromise your morality, but that could very well be illegal.
Conversely, not everything that’s illegal is immoral, unethical, or even wrong. In fact, some things called illegal are moral imperatives. A couple hundred years ago, it was considered legal for one man to own another. So we can’t consider the law to be the final arbiter of what is right and wrong.
we live in iowa and my hubby and I went to a motel and decided to do the ol’ naked answer the door trick on the delivery guy, now the way we did it to make it perfectly legal is of course hubby on the sidelines not seen, i answered the door in a towel well having to take the pizza in one hand and give cash in other hand ooops the towel dropped oh my im sorry mister delivery guy, needless to say i handed him a tip and he refused it stating that there was no need seing me was tip enough “this has been the best delivery i have ever had” i dont think i have to worry about him going to the front desk or police lol
