Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows

Unless your living under a rock (or in a barn) you have heard the name Harry Potter somewhere during your life. What you may not know is that the upcoming book, “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows” is scheduled to be released to the screaming public on July 21st of 2007. This is the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series of novels by J. K. Rowling.

There has been a huge security measure in place to make sure this book didn’t get released on the internet before it is available to be bought in stores. We all know how that goes. The bigger the security measure, the more crafty the person(s) trying to get their name in lights for the day, become.

This time proved to be no different. There are various versions of the book available in newsgroups and on torrent sites (in .pdf files), but most are claiming those are fakes. There is one that I think is real, and it isn’t a .pdf file. Someone got their grubby little paws on the book despite all of the security. They then proceeded to take photos of every single page. That’s right, the entire book in several .jpg files. And personally, I think that this one is the real thing. If it’s not, then someone clearly has way too much time on their hands.

  1. A lot of people are crazy in love with this book series…both young and old.

I could care less about the Harry Potter books, but I have thoroughly enjoyed the movies.

  2. It certainly does look like the real thing, doesn’t it? I’m not much of a book person so I don’t think I could understand the fuss of jumping through hoops just to get to it earlier than anyone else. I’ll wait til the movie 😛

  3. I’m with the two of you. I watched the last movie and it was pretty good. Now I have something to look fwd to do w/ the wife for the next X years. (#):) …Even though it will only be twice in those X years. ha ha

  4. @Mike – Yea, I think that is the real thing. That’s a lot of trouble to go through to fake something.

@Bush Mackel – Twice is better than none!

  5. i’ve read it and that is indeed the real thing. if you know where to look you can find it transcribed into plain text and not have to look at poorly focused/lit pics.

  6. @AeroSquid – If you know where to look… hmmm.. chances are it’s either on usenet or the PB.

@Bryan – With the amount of cash that follows Harry, I can understand why J. K. Rowling would continue the series.

  7. This is just madness. I’ve read it (the story not the book) at a few other places. These people really do have way too much time on there hands !!
