So Who Is Doing The Work?

Anonymous Sports Betting

work.jpgThe population of the USA is 300 million.

160 million are retired.

That leaves 140 million to do the work.

There are 85 million in school.
Which leaves 55 million to do the work.

Of this there are 40 million employed by the federal government.

Leaving 15 million to do the work.
2.8 million are in the armed forces occupied with killing Osama Bin-Laden.

Which leaves 12.2 million to do the work.

Take from that total the 10.8 million people who work for state and
city governments.
And that leaves 1.4 million to do the work.
At any given time there are 188, 000 people in hospitals.

Leaving 1,212,000 to do the work.
Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons.

That leaves just two people to do the work.

You and me.

  1. No wonder we’re so damned tired, Bucky!

I deserve to be tired. I had a page that got over 1400 Diggs yesterday. And since I don’t belong to Digg, somebody had to tell me. LOL! The correspondence has my fingers worn down to nubbins.

The heck with it, Bucky, I’m retiring. Now you have to do it all!

  2. Congrats on getting 1400 diggs! I bet you were slammed with traffic. What post was it that became so popular?

So now your retiring…great. Where will I find a replacement?

  3. Ha ha ha ha,

That post is great! I’m laughing so hard right now! At first I was reading intensely and then I got to the bottom and just completely cracked up, I love it! I work and go to school and I’m a full time mom, I don’t know what the heck that makes me…oh yeah…tired. LoL.

  4. No no no…four children! 😯

School is correspondence – and only part time, and usually done in the wee hours of the morning, and my husband and teenage daughter help out a lot. But still I end up with an unbelievable amount of stuff to do…oh well, lol.

  5. Congratulations! That’s great news:)

I thought it was all smooth sailing until I realized that all four children need braces, and I don’t even want to think about College and University…yikes! Sorry…I don’t want to scare you, lol.

  6. The lucky page was one on the mortgage and foreclosure crisis, specifically:

You never can tell what’s going to take off, you know? And yes, it took some time. I’d never had that many comments before on a post, and it generated a lot of correspondence, as well. The other thing is that it was served over 9,000 times and Digg readers are very single-minded. They came, they read that page, and they left. My wonderful bounce rate is now through the roof. ;o)

Holler if you need theme help.

  7. Oh, oops, I forgot! Congratulations on your newest West Virginian to be! ;o) Forgetting that important statement is what happens when you get interrupted by your wife to re-roll a skein of yarn.
